Muhurat
A good time to start something important, chosen from the panchang.
A muhurat is picked so the day's tithi, nakshatra, weekday, yoga and karana all suit the work, and it falls outside Rahu Kaal and in a good choghadiya.
Each activity has its own rules: weddings want certain nakshatras and are not held in Chaturmas or Kharmas; buying a vehicle prefers 'moving' nakshatras. For a wedding, astrologers also check both partners' kundlis.
For example
Pushya nakshatra on a Thursday morning, in a Labh choghadiya, is a classic muhurat for buying gold.
