नक्षत्र
Nakshatra
One of 27 star groups the Moon passes through. Yours is where the Moon was at birth.
The sky is divided into 27 nakshatras, each a little over 13 degrees wide. The Moon moves through about one a day.
Your birth nakshatra adds fine detail to your nature, decides which dasha you start life in, and is used for naming and for kundli matching. In the panchang, the day's nakshatra is the one the Moon is in that day.
For example
Rohini nakshatra is linked with charm and creativity; Pushya is considered one of the luckiest.
