How to read the chart
The diamond drawing has 12 boxes. Each box is a house, an area of your life.
In the North Indian style used here, the top middle diamond is house 1: you yourself. Counting anticlockwise from there gives houses 2 to 12.
The small number in each box is the zodiac sign in that house (1 is Aries, 2 Taurus, and so on to 12 Pisces). The short letters are planets: Su Sun, Mo Moon, Ma Mars, Me Mercury, Ju Jupiter, Ve Venus, Sa Saturn, Ra Rahu, Ke Ketu.
So a planet sitting in a box tells you which area of life it affects. Mars in the 7th box, for example, works on marriage and partnership.

हीरे जैसी आकृति में 12 खाने हैं। हर खाना एक भाव है, यानी जीवन का एक क्षेत्र।
यहाँ उत्तर भारतीय शैली की कुंडली है। ऊपर बीच वाला खाना पहला भाव है: स्वयं आप। वहाँ से घड़ी की उलटी दिशा में गिनने पर 2 से 12 भाव मिलते हैं।
हर खाने में छोटी संख्या उस भाव की राशि है (1 मेष, 2 वृषभ… 12 मीन)। छोटे अक्षर ग्रह हैं: Su सूर्य, Mo चंद्रमा, Ma मंगल, Me बुध, Ju गुरु, Ve शुक्र, Sa शनि, Ra राहु, Ke केतु।
जिस खाने में ग्रह बैठा है, वह जीवन के उसी क्षेत्र पर असर डालता है। जैसे सातवें खाने में मंगल विवाह और साझेदारी पर असर डालता है।
