Bhava (Houses)
The 12 sections of a kundli. Each stands for one area of life.
House 1 is you, 2 money and family, 3 courage and siblings, 4 home and mother, 5 children and intelligence, 6 work, health problems and rivals, 7 marriage, 8 sudden events, 9 luck and father, 10 career, 11 income and gains, 12 expenses and foreign lands.
We use whole-sign houses: the lagna sign is house 1 and each following sign is the next house.
For example
Jupiter in the 10th house brings its blessings (wisdom, growth) to your career.

पहला भाव स्वयं आप, दूसरा धन और परिवार, तीसरा साहस और भाई-बहन, चौथा घर और माता, पाँचवाँ संतान और बुद्धि, छठा नौकरी, रोग और शत्रु, सातवाँ विवाह, आठवाँ अचानक घटनाएँ, नौवाँ भाग्य और पिता, दसवाँ करियर, ग्यारहवाँ आय और लाभ, बारहवाँ खर्च और विदेश।
हम संपूर्ण राशि भाव पद्धति (whole-sign) इस्तेमाल करते हैं: लग्न की राशि पहला भाव है और अगली हर राशि अगला भाव।
उदाहरण: दसवें भाव में गुरु अपना आशीर्वाद (ज्ञान, उन्नति) करियर को देता है।
