Ayanamsa (Lahiri)
The correction that turns the Western zodiac into the Vedic one. It is why your Vedic sign often differs.
Vedic astrology measures signs against the fixed stars. Because Earth slowly wobbles, the two zodiacs have drifted about 24 degrees apart.
We use the Lahiri ayanamsa, the official standard in India. It is why many people find their Vedic sign is one sign before their Western one.
